These images are my way of saying thank you to all the visual artists, dancers, and musicians who have shared and continue to share their gifts with the world. I have worked to understand the structures through which they “speak”, and by doing so to develop tools with which to make my own contribution to the conversation.
The human desire to draw, to paint, and to respond to music through dance reflects, I think, some of the most fundamental instincts of the human race. Regardless of the level of my accomplishment, it is a thrill to be part of a continuum that stretches back some 40,000 years to the cave paintings, and an honor to share the need to dance with all those past, present and future who miraculously react to the same impulse.
